Katherine Sherwood's paintings focus on the combination of historically significant works and her experience with disability. Recognizable paintings are changed to reflect modern, diverse women shown with walking canes, amputated limbs, and Sherwood’s own brain scans. Sherwood, through her paintings, forces you to reconsider the ideal standard of beauty.
